Resides:

I live in Dunedin with my wife Sandra and three children Madison 11, Hudson 10 and Angus 8. We run DS Building Ltd and have been self-employed for 15 years. Work takes me all over Otago past plenty of interesting rivers.

About Dallas:

Joining JBNZ about seven years ago, I put an apology in for the Otago AGM I wasn’t able to attend and next thing I knew I had been elected onto the Otago Committee. I have been on it ever since.   I’m a firm believer you get out what you put in! and for the past two years I’ve been Chairman of the Otago Branch.

Passion:

My experience on the board for Certified Builders NZ has served me well, making the decision to step up and help an easy one.  The couple of years at Otago has proven to me that with open communication, working with other stakeholders to find common ground that suits everybody, we can achieve good outcomes and in that way maintain and grow our river access.

I’m looking forward to keeping going the momentum that we have at branch and national level and that if we don’t do this we’ll end up with a very expensive paperweight sitting in the shed!
