Title: 18ft wooldridge

 Looking for a lil info..I have a 18ft wooldridge w/ 140hp mercruiser/chevy w/ hamilton single stage w/flappers..
it seems have good power from the motor but not getting enough out of my pump & looking for the cheapest way to get more on step power with more weight? And more speed?? any ifo would be great since this is my first inboard..

The easyest way is change the jet to a 2 stage ( requires buying a stator, impellor and making the control rods longer ).

And of course you need a two stage shaft.
Should be able to pick up the bits you need from the web board,river boater is over your way and seems to have an endless supply of unit parts from under this bench!

Your in Alaska? go to alaskalist.com, there is a three stage Kodiak for sale on there cheap. You can cut it down to a 2 and have spare parts. or check Craigslist, Kenai Peninsula a fellow there has a 283 with 2 stage for 800 bucks complete. Or drop me a line I have a shaft, tie rods, impellor and hard sleeve. But I am short the steer and f/n/r rods and all my stators are shot and will need an insert.
