Hello I have a Datsun powered jet boat and I've just put it back together. Everything is running smooth no flat spots or anything . Revs fine. Just when I take it out to the lake it won't come on to a plane. Now the Carby is a bit big and haven't jetted it back yet its blowing smoke but still revs ok. Is it possible I'm over fuelling the motor or is something going on with the jet. On the trailer in the water the jet pushes the boat well and truly up the trailer and can't hold your hand behind the jet .
Any ideas my mobile no is 0408203342. Can send video to email addresses. Or phone no on request. I'm in Australia btw

Im gonna say yip, probably the carb. What is it ?
Could be the unit: grill/blade pitch/noz size or a combination of the 3. Ie the pitch could be too coarse for the HP of your engine, the grill could be not letting enough water in or the noz is too small... The list goes on...
