i just used the Wattyl Killrust 3 stage paint process seemed to work all right didn't rust under the paint the boat has a fair few war wounds now but won't take too much to sand off the surface rust and chuck another layer of paint on i brought it from mitre 10. It has been 5 years now and the paint is still stuck to the steel.

After building my old steel hull.. I sand blasted and a good 3k high build primer and repainted it afterwards with heeps of 3k top coats.. I used Amron paints on my latest hull and like the finish...Cheers JR
