Title: Motor pump match
Post by: riverboater on June 25, 2021, 06:52:54 AM
Looking at a smokin deal on a 4.3 Kodiak dressed drop in. Here's the question, has anybody put one in front of an 852 Scott. And what nozzle / blade combo do you think it might twist? 16ft boat now has a BBC with 19pro blades and 104 mm nozzle, lots of fun and don't look at the gas gauge. Wanting to take an extended cruise with questionable fuel along the way and looking to drop something a bit less fuel hungry and fussy for octane.

The idea is an econo engine for longer safari trips. I have the 2.3 diesel that twisted the 772 in my last boat but it struggles to spin the Scott and just isn't enough for this project.

BBS to SBC would give you big improvement and maintain performance you are used to. Say a 383 HT which run on low octane
