Got it sorted , was the rising vs falling on the crank trigger pick up.

Boat does 55km up stream currently at 4000rpm but only 30% throttle . So Built up and Re-pitched blade to what we think is close to 1.5kw ,  and will play around with nozzle sizes . Currently trying 90-95mm , May go to 85mm and work up from there .

What size are your outlet pipes, and are they below the water line ? Mates boat has 50mm outlets and super quiet, same engine in mine but 63mm pipes and huge difference in sound, mines better ha !

Put more cam in the engine, that will make it bark a bit. Or put an expanded tail pipe on the outlet. Listen to the noise a honda civic makes with a 4 inch bell on the tail pipe.

Haha put more cam in it,  top up the exhaust fluid while you at it,
