xplorn's allrounder
« on: December 14, 2008, 23:54:14 PM »
well a bit late and slow i know but heres some pics of my hartz allrounder 99 vintage with a p76 and 2 stage 772 with 750 shaft .
I bought it off a mate who built it after sinking his colt in the hurunui ,him and i had done some grouse trip in both boats including the 2001 whitewater trip up the clarence.
i had afew coil issues when i got it (dec 07) and only did 1 good run up the rakaia gorge but smelt fuel allday so the move was made to refurb the whole boat :o just 2 months i thought ??? ::) C"" YEAH RITE! pig so 10 months later its wet *-) jaw

Making the studs to tie the unit together today $12.50 for the 5/16 stainless rod and a thread cutting die and you can save heaps of 2c . just make sure you grind/file a good chamfer/leed in  on the end to help start the die cutting. these studs can cost up to $30 each so its worth the effort ;D

Yeah I've used the Little Metals company, they are good to deal with b>, wouldn't bother going back to Mico wakefield they used to be pretty good it's all most like they don't want cash sale customers anymore.
