Whats better Alloy or Stainless I'm looking at changing from two rear tanks to one single under the rear seat. Any thing I should be made aware of?

Both are good, Stainless is probably a bit dearer and needs more baffles but it really comes down to whats handy and what bits you can score for free ;D. If using ali don't use general purpose sheet (5005) as i've heard it doesn't like fuel :o.
I would use 1.6mm stainless or 3mm ali.
Also use rubber mounts on brackets or straps.

Pressure test it for pin holes after you finish, before you put fuel in...  Fuel will find pin holes and fill your bilge.

s/s may not be too flash fatigue wise, esp if you do a little towing or hit something(s) often

also be aware of the change in weight distribution it may change the way your boat rides ,handles and trims.mine starts under floor just under rear seat in front of motor and stops just under dash at feet, 105 ltrs. keeps the weight down low but when full it can hold the bow down abit  when in white water pressure waves

Any boat builder or marine place should be able to sort fuel tanks for you... Check the forum sponsors will be a good start...

Chch - Jetboat base
       - Rivercraft marine

Down south of the south Island - Keelowcraft Boats

North Island - Auto and Jetboat/Tuicraft Jetboats (wellington)

And thats only a few avaliable b>
