Help with organising a family day??

 Hi there am a new member to the central districts club and am keen as to organise a fun day run up the Ngarurora river and/ or a family day at our local sprint track in Hastings but have no idea how to go about it so anyone who wants lend a hand/advise would be much appreciated.

Its usually just a matter of putting you hand up as the contact person and throwing an add in your local club mag. Talk too the president and he'll point you in the right direction.
Im not really into the club things, its often easyer too just get afew boats together and hit the water with no real agenda    . The ngaruroro is a pretty popular river so shouldnt be hard too sort out something if you post a date in your local events section.
We,re hopeing to be on te river in 2 weeks time to coincide with the sprints

We plan on  staying at the pony club and boating saturday, Ill probably head home early sunday afternoon.
