Steel vs aluminum vs wood wee boat

Steel vs aluminum wee boat
I have been lurking for quite a while and doing a lot of reading about other people’s projects.
At the moment all I have is a 100hp 4 stroke jet ski.
I’m in the US in the Oklahoma-Texas Red river area, no white water, just lots of sand and downed trees in the water.

I have built stitch and glue kayaks before, wood stitch and Glue wee boat?
So for a 3.5 or so meter boat what would be the difference be in weight be for steel vs Aluminum, I have cheap MIG welder now, for aluminum, I would need a much bigger welder $$$

Stich and Glue wood
Steel
Aluminum

From reading everyone mentions the steel boats are pigs, pig pig

Thoughts, suggestions
Thanks

The relative weight of steel is about 8, aluminium is 2.7, wood is????? 0.5??
If aluminium is twice as thick as steel, it's still lighter.

How many amp is your mig. You can weld near 10mm with a 200a welder

My little mig is only about 150 amp and if I had no choice , I would happily weld up a wee boat.
Anything over 5mm on the hull you can get at from both sides anyway.
Look at the little eastwood welders that come with a spool gun for ali or something like that , theyre cheap azz.
Wood and steel will cost you alot more than ali long term  2c

Aluminium
Wood is about 0.65 for Kiln Dried H1 framing timber. Hardwoods are a lot more dense, add the composite glues etc, and any moisture inside the timber and the relative density starts to climb in a hurry
