this is what i have been doing it all goes well till i get to the front i am looking to put a diesel engine in along with a pp65 jet unit i have a dateline jet boat that is 4.6m long an curently getting 30 to 40mph depending on load  i am have had enough repairing the fiberglass from rocks etc the engine only needs 800mm from the transom as the pump hangs out the back i am thinking 3.4 metres long with a shallow deadrize i expect the engine and pump to be around the 180kg mark ?

So you can do it or you could say, "if that is the outcome, then I think I may need to invest in a set of plans....." scr

You don't have to scale it at 10:1? I know of people making full size models from MDF.
I have built a heap of boats without plans, scale models, straight edges, laser levels are all used.
It takes a heap of time.
