Has anyone got any photos of their water filter setup in their boat and where the best place to purchase one from?

cheers Carl

http://www.generalmarine.co.nz/ have these filters you are on about Mohawk. Not sure wat you paid but they around $120 + freight. That's for the 3/4" fittings as I have 3/4" hose from sand trap to my mixer. How course is 20 mesh? Fine enough to stop sand?

Isn't the "20 mesh" the number of 'threads per inch'?  So this would be approx 1.25mm on wire-centres.

Prepare to bend over at GMS.  Some good stock (especially hosing), but the last place you go to after exhausting all other options.

You can tell within a couple of seconds when your filter is blocked - the exhaust note changes (less muffled) due to less cooling water.

Yea GMS were $132 for filter inc gst and freight where as the Aussies can get one here for $82 inc gst and freight! I told GMS this and they came to the party but the Aussies are still cheaper.

Ordered it off the website, think it comes from the Midwestern US. Don't know what the shipping would be to get it over your way.
