I use a scaffolding clamp attached to the lathe to hold a grinder. Then chuck up the impeller up however you can & use the grinder to cut rather than a normal cutting tool.

Our number 1 machinest does the same Henry
But for those of us without lathes the gig should do virtualy the same job . I just gotta learn too weld now
