header tank height
« on: August 22, 2016, 17:11:41 PM »
Fitted a header tank above my heat exchanger and now wondering if don't have it quite high enough. Top of exchanger is a couple of cm below top of head below where cam cover bolts on, should I have lifted it up to top of cam cover or will it be high enough? Currently battling getting temp gauge to work so a little paranoid....

This one (photo nabbed from trademe) looks like it was done a little better and looks to be about level with top of cam cover.

Best to lift mine or should it be ok?

If any coolant galleries or water lines are above the header tank it will be difficult to bleed air from the system
And also be hard to maintain coolant level
