It jumps on step pretty quick and I feel the weight distribution is spot on so I think I'll mount the fuel.tank in middle, in cab or just in front of cab.
I'm not sure it really needs a big fuel tank?
The boat is not really big enough for serious long haul expeditions.
Will be interesting to get some fuel burn figures?

Finally got around to running it a bit more. Did approx 50k round trip. Sat on 2700rpm the whole way (couple little WOT squirts)
39km/hour up
48km/hour down
Approx 43km/hour seems like a nice cruise speed.
Used 16 litres diesel so I guess its getting approximately 3km/litre.
Plus I dont have to pay RUC and the fuel is company running cost.  ;)

Goes well, puts a lot of petrol powered jet boats and a heap of outboard powered tubs to shame.

Seems to handle the chop pretty good. Took it out in the rough and got a bit hammered in the big swells but the whole boat was coming out of water and flat landing, unit sucking air. But overall pretty happy, tracks straighter than I thought, the hydraulic steering works real good.
Screwed the idle up to 950rpm as was spline chattering at low rpm.
