Thought some Toyota options may have been put forward!  --<

What about the Toyota GT86 engine then?
Nice and short.

Do you have some power curves for this engine?

Regarding Jeffs earler post, wondering why the honda L15 needs new manifolds? Is it because the plastic ones will melt? Or are they overly complicated?

Hey spinner. The Honda doesn't "need" a new intake manifold, the factory one will work fine in a jet boat but it sits up on top of the engine rocker cover so makes the engine 100mm higher than it needs to be. The factory throttle body is fly by wire so most will swap for a simple mechanical setup as well.

We would really appreciate it if you could let us know the typical flywheel diameter and engine make/model of any Small 4 Cylinder Car Engines you use in your jet boats.

Used both Honda k24 and Suzuki j24 on a 612. Both need sumps cut. Both went really well but still huge driveshaft angles .Not ideal.this same problem has been around since the very first 612s. The intake needs to be made around 50mm higher and thatd open up optiins for heaps of  engines. Especially those which have no seperate sump and cant be cut. Hence the poularity of the southern jet 7 inch pump. It matches well to almost any engine and no need to cut sumps....but you already know all this.
