Cleaning alloy hull

Hi. Anyone know a good method of cleaning an alloy hull that has rub and general light surface marks. Someone said use a mag wheel acid cleaner but worried it will end up dull and attract more marks easily. Any suggestions or products out there?

I have used mag wheel cleaner on boats, it makes a huge difference but leaves the alloy very white. Definitely trial it somewhere inconspicuous first.

blue truck wash CT18 or similar
alloy cleaners will stain or go white as ross said.
previously sanded or flapper dick surfaces use a kitchen scour pad and truck wash, comes up new. all other hard virgin surfaces just truck wash
