That is a big pump, must be pushing close to 80kg? Is it 8" or 8.5"?
What's the engine specs? Is it the oldschool strokes 308 or the last of the Holden 304/185kw donk before Holden went LS1?

Theyr 95kg. Flopro is 60kg
Yea ive used a few harris marine trim and reverse setup now. Theyr 10/10 For people that dont know, when you pull your reverse on it auto trims up ya trim/tilt nozzle. This makes it so much more simple for everything, Everything is very well thort out, theres bearings instead of bushes, nothing binds up, theyr setup for scott or hamilton or southern jet. (They wont work where a older teleflex has been used tho). Theyr also got friction adjustment on the trim so you can make it stay put. And mikes price includes all the mounting hardware needed. Cables and mounting points. Think theyr just over $1000 including gst
My
is when setting them up use a 40series cable. Not a 33c cable. 33c is fine if your a lake boater. But if your a little rough like me and ya go bush bashing and spends plenty of time pushing things to their limit use a 40. Also with some trim nozzles when theyr full trim down and you steer too the left it puts weight on the cable, ive seen a heep snap. Also they sometime jam up with gravel and the 33c cable wont budge it without bending
We have been making brackets to drop them down past the gunnel. It makes them easier too use and keeps ya hand away from the windscreen. It also keeps the mechanism clear of the steering cables.

Just have to add the weight of the water that'll be moving inside it. About 60ltrs= 60kg?

Yes it is heavy.but I'm a lot heavier than that.and can't paddle that much water.will definitely be putting alot of effort into the balance of the boat with fuel etc

So today's mission is to do something about this.small issue of the jet unit not fitting the transom.i knew when I decided on the unit and this hull I would be in for mods.i talked to Mike at Lvb he said he has seen the portifilo deck sectioned on the underside for clearance underneath, above unit.am unsure if I will try that or just cut it straight up for maintenance access.
