Expedition Truck Project

Hi All,
Just taken delivery of my latest project.
It's a 2008 MAN HX60 Military truck. The plan is to turn it into an expedition rig (read 4x4 Motorhome) and eventually head off around the world once the kids bugger off. It's a bit of a slow burn project but if you are interested in following along here is a link to a great site for all things overland.
https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/man-hx60-expedition-truck-build.230058/
This particular track came out of the UK so is RHD, has triple lockers, wading depth of 1.5m, 12-speed auto box and is Euro 4 emissions but with the handy military tune that can handle crap fuel and does not need ad blue. 326hp Man turbo diesel v6.
It's based in Christchurch, if anyone wants info or is interested in seeing/ driving it in view to getting one for themselves feel free to drop me a line.
This one is the first civvy reg in NZ- although there is a number on the water coming from the UK as we speak.
NZ army has roughly 180 of the HX variants which is the replacement for the ubiquitous Unimog.

Yep- will probably build a custom hydraulic unit- it will end up around 14 ton fully laden when it's finished and rule of thumb would indicate I will need 30 ton worth of winch for a straight pull, less if I can snatch block it.
I am suddenly aware that all my tools are too small! Anyway its going to be a bit of fun so cant wait to dive in and start wrenching later in the winter.
