Actually not so easy, unless you have a block out of a VS/VT the block will need relieving to clear the crank. Don't know the cost in NZ but was told to expect AUD~$750 just for a bit of grinding!
I ended up selling all the bits I had prepared for a 355 to go the Chev, worked out cheaper and starts with a new engine.
(also consider my original 308 was buggered so had to start from scratch)
The 355's are nice but they're a fair bit of effort.
